4 Autumn Trends You Can Wear Right Now

Fashion

The sun has been shining and temperatures are still high but Autumn is only round the corner and we draw closer and closer to the end of summer. As September approaches, it’s safe to say it’s fine to delve in and start exploring the A/W fashion trends of 2019. Here are just a few styles that are wearable now, which you can incorporate into your wardrobe to carry you through this season.

1. Puffy Shoulders

Statement sleeves that particularly focus on shoulder detail have been a popular choice throughout the summer, especially playing a big part in the ‘milkmaid’ trend. Thankfully, this silhouette is sticking around and is set to continue into A/W. Exaggerated and emphasized, the puffy shoulder look provides elements of femininity and structure to an outfit and also happens to be very flattering on the arms.

2. Beige

One of the ‘safer’ trends of A/W ’19 and probably one of the easiest to style is Beige. Neutral tones are very wearable and effortless and this particular shade of brown is a classic. In terms of wearing this colour in our current hot weather situation, there are many pieces that would work including linen trousers, a midi dress or a boilersuit. For the cooler days, a trench coat is a considerable investment into this trend as it is a versatile, transitional item that would become a staple in your wardrobe.

3. Neon Flashes

Fluorescent colours have been huge throughout Summer and they still will be this season to help brighten up your outfits during the darker months. Pair neon green with neutrals and deep browns or luminous yellow with black denim for a contrasting colour palette.

4. Dark Florals

Floral is usually associated with Spring and Summer, displayed on light and pale bases however, Autumn is all about the blossoming print being on dark and deep toned backgrounds. This is such a beautiful and romantic print and is a pattern that looks amazing worn day or night. Dark Floral dresses in particular are set to be a major fashion piece during the cooler months, so while the weather is warm, it’s the perfect opportunity to get ahead of the game and intergrate this trend into your wardrobe now.
