Festival Makeup Collab with AllThingsAllatt: Colourful x Grungy

Beauty, Cruelty free beauty, cruelty free makeup

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re all having a lovely bank holiday.

I’m v excited for today’s post as this is my second collaboration with yet another fab blogger and this time it’s with allthingsallatt! (Instagram: @allthingsallatt) I love Rebecca’s content, she does great makeup posts and brill reviews on products so go check out her blog and her take on this collab here.

So as festival season is approaching, we thought it would be a good idea to do a makeup look especially for it. Rebecca has already done a few on her blog but this was my first time doing one this year. We decided to do something a bit different by creating contrasting looks; mine is colourful and vibrant whereas Rebecca’s is grungy and dark. Two very opposite styles of festival makeup for you guys and gals to enjoy!

Eyes

As this was such a vibrant look, I of course used the best palette for colour which is the Morphe 35B Colour Blast palette. I did a halo style of eyeshadow to help give the appearance of rounder, bigger eyes and to define the look more. In the middle of the halo, I kept it white and applied a Stargazer Glitter Eyeliner which is has beautiful multicolour flecks in the product. On top of that, I put a white glitter from EBay which stuck to the Stargazer glitter well. To add even more glitter to the eyes, I used the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Distortion and Grind on top of my black NYX Matte Liquid Eyeliner.

Transition – Sunshine

Crease – Smoothie, Bikini & Fuchsia

Outer Corner/ Inner Corner towards halo – Purplish, Puffs

Lid (halo) – Chalk

Inner Corner – Lemonade

Bottom Lash Line – Apple Cider & Deep Dive

Mascara: Kiko Luxurious Lashes Waterproof Mascara

False Eyelashes: Morphe Melrose Ave Lashes

Pencil Eyeliner: Wet n Wild Colour Icon Kohl Eyeliner in You’re Always White!

Other Products I’m Wearing

Face

Festival makeup just wouldn’t be complete without wearing some glitter on the face now would it? I used a Chunky Silver Mixed Glitter Pot from eBay which has a mix of chunky and finely milled glitter, it cost just £1.70 and if you get 3 then you get 3 free! I applied this to my cheeks and around the outside of my eyes.

Primer: Nip + Fab Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix

Foundation: Tarte Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation in Light – Medium Honey

Concealer: Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Fair Neutral

Contour: Too Faced Cocoa Contour

Powder: Kat Von D ‘Lock It’ Setting Powder in Translucent

Highlighter: Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

Setting Spray: Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Peach Setting Spray

Brows

I wanted the brows to look fluffy for this look so I used my Spoolie and brushed them upwards and used the Sleek Makeup Eyebrow Kit in Dark & NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel as usual.

Lips

Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Chi

I also used the white Wet n Wild eyeliner to draw a line down the middle of my bottom lip. I feel this is such a nice touch to make this look even more festival like.

This was such a fun look to create and it makes me wish I was actually going to a festival! Are you going to any this year?

Thanks for reading and thanks again to Rebecca for the collab! I hope you enjoy both of our looks!

Valentines Makeup Look Collab with BeverlysBeautyBook

Beauty, cruelty free makeup

Hey everyone! This post is in collaboration with the lovely beverlysbeautybook (Instagram: kingbeverlyy).  As Valentines Day is only a few weeks away, Beverly wanted to do a Valentines inspired look which I loved the sound of so we decided to go for a red cut crease look. Go check out her blog and her post on this look! It’s both of our first collabs so we found this rather exciting!

Here’s what I came up with!

Disclaimer: I’m aware that this look doesn’t exactly look red and looks more on the pinker side, which I am confused about as I used clean brushes and red and burgundy shades. The only pink I actually used for this look was the glitter. It did look more red in person.

Eyes

Valentines Day is all about love. When it comes to makeup, colours like red and pink associate with this and reflect the romantic theme of this occasion well. This look I’ve done would be lovely to wear if you’re going out for dinner, going on a date, or even one to just try if you’re wanting a pretty makeup look. As you’ll see, I used many different palettes for my eye makeup as this look was created with a lot of various red toned shades.

  1. For the transition colour, I used the shade Silk Crème from the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette and applied this to my crease, sweeping it up to my brow bone.
  2. Next, the beautiful burgundy shade Maneater from the Huda Beauty Textured Rose Gold Palette was used and blended into the crease in small, side to side motions.
  3. Using the shade Kogi from the Juvia’s Place Magic Palette, I blended this also into the crease, using tiny circular movements to keep this colour concentrated and trying not to bring it up the eye too much.
  4. The shade Muse from the LimeCrime Venus Palette was then used to darken up the look. This is a deep burgundy red shade, I love it!
  5. I next cut the crease using the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer (review on this product can be found in my previous blog post here) and my Real Techniques Detailer Brush. I did a full cut crease and then brought it out on my outer corners to form a wing-like shape. I used my Kat Von D Lock it Translucent Setting Powder to set the concealer.
  6. Using Enlight, which is the pale cream shade from the M x JH Palette, I applied it to the inner half of my cut crease to create a contrast and help break the colours up.
  7. Going back in with the shade Kogi, which is a vibrant red colour, I wore this about 3/4 the way of the cut crease, towards my outer corner. I only used a little bit of this shade as its sooo pigmented so you literally need the smallest amount.
  8. On my outer corner, I used the shade Saffron from the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette and blended it into Kogi to create that faded, seamless effect.
  9. At this point, the outer corner on the lid appears to have merged into the shades just above the winged part of the cut crease. To distinguish the edges of the cut crease again and to finish colouring it with eyeshadows, I wore a teeny weeny bit of the black shade Abyss from the Morphe x Jacyln Hill Palette to create more depth. I used my smallest brush to ever so gently line and blend just above and along the edges of the cut crease. (I hope that step didn’t sound too confusing)
  10. Now for the glitter! Using the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner in Grind, I traced along the edges of my cut crease and along the wing shape towards my outer corner. To add more red, I applied the glitter shade from the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette called Cozmo and dabbed tiny amounts into the liner. The glitter liner has a tacky consistency so the glitter was able to stick to it well.
  11. For my usual eyeliner look, I wore the Tarte Maneater Liquid Eyeliner and drew on a wing that met the end of the glitter liner on the outer corner of my eye.
  12. I took the shades Kogi and Muse and blended them along my lower lash liner and used the shade Vermeer from the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette to highlight my inner corners.
  13. I used the Tarte Maneater Mascara to darken and lengthen my bottom lashes and applied some Primark Falsh Eyelashes in the style Sultry to the top. I love these lashes and they’re only £1!
  14. Lastly, I wore the Wet n Wild Color Icon Kohl Eyeliner in You Are Always White in my waterline to make my eyes appear bigger and to brighten the look a little more.

Lips

The lipstick I’m wearing is the Sleek Matte Me Up Lipstick in Fired Up. This is such a stunning dark red colour which I think went really well with this Valentines inspired look.

Other Makeup I’m Wearing:

Primer: NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer

Foundation: Tarte Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation in Light – Medium Honey

Concealer: Shape Tape Contour Concealer in Fair Neutral

Contour: Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Light

Powder: Kat Von D ‘Lock It’ Setting Powder in Translucent

Eyebrows: Sleek Makeup Eyebrow Kit in Dark & NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel

Highlighter: Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

Setting Spray: Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Peach Setting Spray

Although I’m slightly disappointed that the colours of the eyeshadows didn’t turn out in the photos as red as they were in person, I really had fun doing this look! Thanks again to Beverly for wanting to do this collaboration post with me.

Thank you for reading!
